Saint Anthony Festivity
Saint Anthony Festivity it is celebrates on the 17th January usually postponed to the first weekend. It celebrates in whole Spain and in the 18 villages in the Matarraña region, Aragon. Spain. On the day Associations and neighbours makes a big fire to roast black and red sausages with bread, wine, and rom. This is open to all the visitors, prior writing your names down on the list that the Associations have put down in the local shops and bars.
Another part of the Festivity it is when the neighbours prepares, cooks some nice meals to be gambled after on the bar. The money serves to help the church associations or to pay the Saint Anthony Festivity, depending on the villages.
In Arens de Lledó, La Asociacion Cultural El Galeró with its over 300 members are in charge to organise the festivity evening for all the neighbours.
